I ordered a couple of reeds from Mark years ago, and they not only still play, they have remained stable. I like the integrated style, i.e. not distinct ‘windows’ and ’spine’. I’d order again from him any day, if my own reeds fail me.
The all metal staples are very good indeed. Highly recommended is the gold plated staple.
I found that the reeds needed some scraping to define the blend between heart and tip a little better. Before scraping, they tended to whistle a bit. Otherwise, I consider them a good “back-up” reed.
