The Boston reeds are great! Good tone, got projection, good quality. The Hodge reeds that Ann Hodge makes herself aren’t so great. And I won’t buy one again. But the Boston ones are great!
I ordered a reed from them and it was by far the worst reed that I have ever played. I was so embaressed when my orchestral director was yelling at me when I used that reed, he said “what happend to my beautiful sounding principal oboe?” . The reed was a complete embaressment. However I am back to making my own reeds, thank-goodness!
