Advanced--Plays Most days--Used More than 10 reedmakers--Reedmaking: Buy but adjust
The English horn reed I got from Mr. Morgan is absolutely outstanding. It needed no adjustment whatsoever — just plug and play. Immediately responsive, totally in tune, glorious tone color, even tone throughout the compass of the instrument, no sag on the highs. This is a find!

Wonderful reeds. I use the pro reeds, they are a little expensive for my budget, but do not require any adjustment at all. Last longer than previous reeds I have bought.

joboe April 14, 2012: Jones Double Reed Products Two Jones reeds (med-soft) came with my oboe. One was great and I played with it for about 1-2 months before it cracked on the sides. The other reed was too open – I could not get a good sound out of it at all, even after soaking it for...
