I ordered 2 medium. They were very well in tune but hard to play low notes on. The style of reed is very long and thin which I don’t care for. A bright sound - which some may like.

I purchased the medium strength reeds and I loved them. Very nice full sound and freedom to move around. My first batch of 3 reeds however seemed to be on rather used staples, my next batch were on new staples.

The reeds are handmade with rails, not machined reeds with the rails stripped off and finished by hand.

The reeds came in plastic hinged boxes (reed coffins) and were packed in a small cardboard box with a bit of of colored gift bag paper wrapped around the reed coffins.

      I’ll definitely buy again.

All the reeds were wound slightly crooked played tremendously flat. They were not usable. I hope the reed maker can correct these problems.

I thought the reeds were too bright, even on my Loree Royale. However, I did find if I let them sit on my bench for a couple weeks and they darkened down a bit, but not near tone of my current reeds from a oboist in a major US symphony. I would recomend the reeds to a student.

The reed strengths tend to run a little hard. I reccomend ordering the medium soft. She was more than happy to adjust the reeds, and even replaced one of them. After that they played great for me. The sound is alot better than other reeds I have tried, nice and warm. Once she got the strength right the resistance felt good. I didn’t have problems with the pitch like the other person said. Like I said I will be ordering the professional medium soft from now on and I would reccomend the same for others. The price is good and the reeds didn’t have any defects.

These reeds have alot of resistence. It’s very difficult to break them in as well. Most of the reeds were tuned sharp, and not to an A-440. All of the reeds had to be adjusted by my professor.

I just purchased one of Angela’s reeds via her Ebay shop. Postage to Italy was free, which was a pleasant surprise. The reed has a much darker tone than the cheaper Ricos I’ve used and the altissimo sounds so much better! Will definitely buy again!

This is a very high quality american scrape reed. Most are great just as they are. Good shape for most oboes, good cane and a nice sierra tube (real cork, high quality tube). If you have to adjust them, it is very easy to do so. BRAVO Angela.

The shaped cane was pretty good. It arrived quickly too.

Among the best available. Consistent from reed to reed, batch to batch. Darker tone than most commercially available reeds.
